Do you see your life
as a journey of unique,
revelatory, and often
challenging, interconnected stories?
I do.

background

I intentionally began my own ‘second act’ at age 42 - way back in 2010.

Up until 2009, I’d experienced a full, meaningful life, acquired deep insights and, perhaps most importantly, hard-learned lessons well before I chose to engage others as a licensed counselor.

Personally, I’ve explored my own life stories as a client, and frequently, unexpected and uncomfortable change. Especially when it was the hardest. Some of my own best healing and growth took place with a counselor, working with various therapists in the various places I lived.

My story begins in Missouri — where I grew up, finished college and started a career in the corporate world. At age 27, I relocated Colorado Springs, where I fell in love with this great state. From 1995-2010, I lived in both Carolinas, incl. four years of 100% travel, providing professional change integration services to Fortune 100 clients. Throughout a 20+ year corporate career, I’ve been a team supervisor, data analyst, small business owner, project/program manager, and change integration consultant.

In 2010, I chose to embark on this journey of becoming a private practice counselor: doing the work that mattered most in my life and focusing on my most meaningful relationships.
Between 2010-2013, I completed my M.A. in Counseling Psychology, where I graduated from The Seattle School - a program often known for their collaboration with Dan Allender.

I’ve continued to remain curious about the most formative events, relationships and stories of my life — emotionally, relationally, professionally, and spiritually. I have increasingly found working with others in their own life stories that I’d found my true calling.

I believe any reputable counselor will tell you that it was their own willingness to explore their life’s changes with a qualified, experienced counselor that they came to see the therapeutic process as invaluable in the exploration and development of their own personal narrative.
