For 20+ years, I have had the privilege to facilitate interpersonal groups of all kinds: in the corporate world, as a consultant, with peers, for community, my counseling clients, and, my personal favorite: a Story group.

Story groups are intended to be a safe yet courageous way to explore another way of seeing your own life narrative. Groups frequently supplement personal coaching, professional counseling, or having a mentor. It’s been my consistent experience over the years that uniquely insightful, relational and often meaningful transformation occurs; many times, it started in a group environment/process.

Story groups typically involve the following:
- up to six participants (men or co-ed)
- up to eight weeks per Story group
- each weekly session is 90-minutes
- each participant is pre-screened for eligibility
- each participant composes one personal story
- I privately review and comment on each story
- I send my tailored and private commentary
- each week, one participant volunteers to share
- that participant reads their story in group
- each participant is offered other’s reflections
- participant reflects on their group experience
- time each week is made for process & feedback
