Mental Health Consultation

Note: This page is maintained weekly. I am accepting new consulting clients. Please contact me if you’d like more information about availability or my approach.

overview

I offer professional consultation to all mental health care providers. Consultation differs from Supervision in that our work is peer-to-peer, for your ongoing growth and development.

I offer 30+ years of diverse leadership experiences, as a private practice owner, clinical director, change leader, and management consultant.

I offer a free video or in-person 20-minute ‘meet-and-greet’ to allow you to ask questions and see if we would be a good fit to collaborate with one another.

Consultation is currently available both virtually (via encrypted, secure video) and in-person in Fort Collins, either as a single meeting or recurring consultation.

UNSOLICITED TESTIMONIALS

The following are verbatims from colleagues in the field:

All I hear from each of my staff every time I ask is how helpful your perspective is, how fresh this feels, and how it’s encouraging people to grow!

Terry Bohn was the stable anchor in the midst, the most perfect-for-me first supervisor and I could not have navigated my internship year without his generous investment and belief in me as a therapist.

Terry is an exceptional supervisor.
I've come to learn more and more over time that as a therapist in order to contain and care well for my clients, healthy containment and care is essential for me, too. Terry's presence is grounding and centering, creating a safe and stable environment to process professional and relevant personal work. His substantial and varied experience in his own clinical practice combined with his deep passion for learning make him an invaluable source of wisdom and clinical direction. I know him to be a supervisor of the utmost integrity with a strong ethical foundation--two qualities that are critical in our field and that readily infuse his working relationships with others. Further, you could not find a more dedicated and invested soul to have as a member of your support team. Terry's commitment to his supervisees is next to none. His love for this work fuels a genuine desire to come alongside and truly walk with his people through all the trials and triumphs that are inherent to our work as clinical mental health providers.

If you are seeking a mind-heart connection where ethics lead you toward further freedom in your exploration as a clinician, I would highly recommend Terry for supervision. My mind is expanded every supervision session and I feel alive and dynamic when I go back to see clients. He blends the growth of my cognition alongside being attuned to my own emotional state as a therapist. Just like in the therapeutic dynamic, Terry has a unique way of replicating a really secure frame for his supervisees to have the containment and scaffolding to remain emotionally and psychologically safe. It is in that security that he paves the way towards an abundance of curiosity, exploration and growth.
